Dear Editor,
If I had a good signal for Voice of Guyana and 98.1 Hot FM in my area, I would have just stuck to the good, old, reliable transistor radio. But the internet streams for both channels have been down, and since I depend on this for my radio listening, I am calling on the management of the state-owned radio to please bring back the web-streams. At the same time, I must commend them for bringing reliable uninterrupted web-streams of VOG & 98.1 FM for the past couple of months.
While they kept interruptions to the broadcasts at a minimum, this particular downtime has lasted far too long.
I especially miss my night shows of ‘Triple M,’ ‘Straight From the Heart,’ ‘Action Line,’ Ron’s Rendezvous,’ ‘Party Time,’ ‘Nightride’ and the ‘Basil Persaud Show.’ These all give Guyana radio its exquisitely rich flavour, oh, so rich.
Yours faithfully,
Leon Suseran
