Trinidad and Tobago will host the upcoming regional Under-15 cricket series.
This was revealed by administrative manager of the T&T Cricket Board, Manohar Ramsaran. According to the former minister of Sport, the tournament will be staged between July 2 and 16 and will be two-days duration.
“We have decided that the regional under-15 cricket series be played over two days in order to prepare the cricketers for the longer form of the game. We see two-day cricket as good for development and this is what should be the focus at the youth stage. Yes, while winning is important, the development of the cricketers is the key and the two-days will offer more opportunities to the player, rather than the one day format of before.”
Trinidad and Tobago are defending regional Under-15 champions.
