The fourth edition of Guyana Where and What has been out for a few months now.
According to a release from its publisher, Gem Madhoo-Nascimento, circulation of Guyana Where and What 2011 began in December last year.
She said this fourth edition has a number of additional features like the trail to Lethem, Pandama Retreat, Marudi Creek, and Madewini Villas as retirement homes.
It retains the list and description of recreational spots, interesting places for sight-seeing, Guyana’s counties and major towns and historical information on Dutch heritage sites.
Madhoo-Nascimento reveals that she would like to increase its circulation substantially in 2011-2012 edition to 30,000 and have the copies available online. She stated that there are often email requests to post copies overseas, which is a very good sign and augurs well for the future of the guide.
The first edition, which was launched prior to World Cup Cricket was 96 pages. The current edition is 136 pages.
Copies can be obtained from the Tourism and Hospitality Association of Guyana and the Guyana Tourism Agency.
