Moen Gafoor ruled the roost in the first scrabble tournament of the year winning all six of his games and accumulating a positive spread 527 points to dominate the Phagwah Open hosted by the Guyana Association of Scrabble Players (GASP) Monday at the Malteenoes Sports Club, Thomas Lands.
Ewart Adams, with four wins and a positive spread of 440, taking the third and fourth places respectively were Leon Deloney, with a positive spread of 395, and Ulric Harris, with a positive spread of 301, both managed to put together four wins from the six round tournament.
