The Guyana Football Federation (GFF) will today and tomorrow stage trials for female footballers looking to earn spots of the Lady Jags team for an upcoming engagement against Suriname.
The trials will be held at the Georgetown Football Club ground from 3pm and 7am respectively.
The lady Jags are expected to tour Suriname from April 21-26.
Both Guyana and Suriname are preparing for the Women U20 World Cup Qualifiers while Suriname is also preparing for the Olympic Qualifiers scheduled for later this year.
Guyana will be focusing on the youths (U20) and most of the players will be within that age range will be selected.
So far seven players are expected from the Rupununi, five from Bartica and seven players each from east Coast and Georgetown.
No Berbice player will be participating in this week-end’s trials because of examinations but seven players will be in action next week-end.
