Police are investigating a robbery committed on a service station at Long Pond, West Bank Demerara, during which staff were robbed of a quantity of cash on Saturday evening.
According to the police, around 11.45 on Saturday evening, two men, one of whom was armed with a firearm, held up pump attendant, 19-year old Carl Singh and sales clerk Alicia Bacchus, 21, at the ‘On the Go’ Service Station at Long Pond, West Bank Demerara, and took away $25,000.00 following which they escaped.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
