Rickford Williams, known as Rickford Sabola and Rickford La Fleur, of Angoy’s Avenue, New Amsterdam, Berbice, was today charged with murder committed on Lennox Hetemeyer on November 11, 2010, in the Canje River, Berbice.
Police say he was also charged with two counts of possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.
He appeared before Magistrate Adela Nagamootoo at the Reliance Magistrate Court and was remanded to prison until April 27, 2011, in relation to the charge of murder and remanded to prison until April 07, 2011, on the trafficking in narcotics charges.
Williams, the police said, was found with 2 kilograms of cocaine and 615 grams of marijuana at Springlands on Saturday March 26, 2011.
