Dear Editor,
I filed a complaint in 2005 against a lawyer for unprofessionalism which resulted in my case being lost in the court of justice. I wrote the Bar Association on this matter and to date I have not received a response.
The Legal Practitioners (Amendment) Act was passed in Parliament in 2010 and was signed by the President. But at this point lawyers who harm people economically and psychologically are allowed to practise when they should be disbarred.
I would like to know where this authority is. When will it be formed? I am 77 years of age and still waiting for justice.
Yours faithfully,
Cecil De Souza
