Mikhail Lawrence, Rajendra Lochand and Richie Johnny, the men injured in the collision with a fire tender on Tuesday are recovering in the Georgetown Public Hospital.
Lawrence, 17, who had to undergo a one-hour operation on his hand, is “doing good” his father said.
The young race car driver also sustained a five inches deep open wound to the back of his head his father added.
Lochand, 23, was said to be recovering; he sustained head injuries as well.
As for Johnny, 19, his father said he continues to slip in and out of consciousness. He sustained a broken foot, fractured skull and slipped hip.
On Tuesday midday the three, all from Herstelling on the East Bank Demerara, were in a black Honda Fit car which was hit by a fire tender which was rushing to a fire at the time.
The accident occurred at the Demerara Harbour Bridge junction at Peter’s Hall.
