Two men accused of stealing a Blackberry cell phone were on Monday placed on bail in the sum of $25,000 each by Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton.
The allegation against Quasi Donald and Christopher Walcott is that on March 27, at the Georgetown Football Club (GFC) Ground, they stole a $21,000 Blackberry cell phone, which was the property of Andrew Gibson.
The jointly charged duo denied the charge of simple larceny at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.
Police Corporal Venetta Pindar told the court that the “facts were as charged” and no further details of what transpired were given.
Attorney Sasha Roberts, who represented Walcott, made a successful bail application on his behalf. Walcott, 32, of 2103 Williamstad, Festival City, is a salesman, while Donald, 31, of 4 Perry Street, Tucville, is a minibus conductor.
The men were ordered to return to court on April 5.
