For going the extra mileFor going the extra mile: The Guyana Police Force was yesterday presented with two All Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) by Guyana Goldfields Inc (GGI), which is expected to boost patrolling activities in interior locations and particularly the mining districts. According to the GGI’s Corporate Social Responsibility and Human Relations Manager, Ayaana Caldeira, the ATVs will benefit communities, including Aranka where their operations are located. Meanwhile, Assistant Commissioner Leroy Brummell, in expressing gratitude on behalf of the Force, said that it is known that certain parts of the interior region are very difficult for ranks to access. He said that with the ATVs ranks will certainly be able to access these hard to reach places. He also said that with the donation, ranks will be able to respond in a timely manner to reports. In this photo, Caldeira presents the keys to Brummell, while ranks try out the ATVs.
