Lee Ahye leads strong T&T team to Montego Bay

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, CMC – Reigning 100 metres girls sprint champion Michelle Lee Ahye will spearhead a strong 66-member Trinidad and Tobago squad at this month’s Games in Montego Bay.

The contingent was named on Wednesday night after last weekend’s CARIFTA trials at the Hasely Crawford Stadium.

Ahye leads a squad that also includes Under-17 sprinter Nicholas Douglas, Under-20 quarter-miler Deon Lendore and distance runner Mark London.

At last week’s trials, Ahye turned in a commanding performance to easily win the 200 metres with a wind-assisted 23.92 seconds.
