Three more teams found themselves in winners’ row on the second day of the inaugural Len’s Craft Optical/Sunburst Orange Juice Under-15 League Saturday at the Georgetown Football Club (GFC) Ground.
Santos edged Renaissance 2 – 1 while Flamingo after an opening game defeat last week, edged out Riddim Squad 2 – 1.
In the third game Pele gained a walkover from Houston Stars.
It was the second walkover given by Houston Stars and it was announced that as a result, they will no longer be allowed to participate in the league.
In the other match of the day Sunburst Camptown and BK International Western Tigers played to a goalless draw.
In the Santos/Renaissance battle, Santos’ Orin Yarde drew first blood in the first minute of the first half while Renaissance equalised in the 25th minute through a Levi Canterbury strike.
Immediately the second half got underway, a Travis Fitzgerald goal gave Santos the lead which they held on to for good.
In the other encounter Colin Waterman scored in the 26th minute for Flamingo who maintained the one goal lead until three minutes to regulation time when Alpha Mc Phoy sealed the deal.
Riddim Squad managed to pull one back one minute before regulation time when Lawrence Benjamin scored in the 59th minute.
