Dear Editor,
With the fiasco at the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) in Georgetown, I think none of the members should seek re-election; let past cricketers take over the positions. The Sports Minister should install an interim board given that the Pakistan tournament is not far away, and I personally believe that an interim board should have the Foster brothers from Rose Hall Town Youth and Sports Club (RHTY&SC) in charge. The Berbice Cricket Board with their members have done wonders for Berbice and let those members in the GCB cool off for the betterment of cricket in Guyana.
The entire West Indies Cricket Board should resign including the selectors. The former players should be at the helm. The problem is not that the West Indies did not perform at the last World Cup. It is the non- functioning of the captain who cannot set an example for the others in the game. Darren Ganga has earned his place to be recalled to the WI team, also as captain. He is a born leader, so correct this mistake and let the selectors appoint him. With the three older players, this team could turn around the game.
Yours faithfully,
Lloyd James Suseran
