Kraigg Brathwaite appointed captain of West Indies Under 19s

St John’s, Antigua – Barbadian First Class batsman Kraigg Brathwaite will lead the West Indies Under 19 team on a tour to the United Arab Emirates to play against Australia Under 19s.

Brathwaite, who has also played for West Indies A and was part of the West Indies squad in 2009, will have fellow First Class players fast bowler Ronsford Beaton and leg spinner Amir Khan (both of Guyana) in the 16 man squad.

Windies Under 19 will play three 50 over matches and one three day game against Australia Under 19 at the Global Cricket Academy in Dubai.

Former Barbadian fast bowler Roddy Estwick has been appointed Head Coach while former West Indies opener Stuart Williams is his assistant and Selector Courtney Browne will perform the manager’s duties.
