The Stray Catcher Unit captured and impounded 15 animals from along the East Coast Demerara roadway when its officers travelled to the area on Wednesday.
Coordinator of the Unit, Ovid Glasgow told the Government Information Agency (GINA) that seven cows and two donkeys are at the Sparendaam police station pound, two donkeys are at the Beterverwagting pound and four cows are at the Vigilance Police station pound. He said owners must take along valid identification and brands to retrieve their animals from the various locations.
Since the start of the campaign on March 29, which started at the Diamond Housing Scheme on the East Bank Demerara, scores of animals have been caught and impounded.
