A 27-year-man is in an unconscious state at a private city hospital after he was shot and badly beaten during a scuffle with another man.
Police officials have given the injured man’s name as Keon Smith a resident of East La Penitence.
Reports are that just before midnight on Sunday, Smith was at his Arapaima Street, East La Penitence home when a man came up and asked what he was doing there. A fight erupted between the two and Smith was shot in the left forehand. He also sustained a fractured skull.
