Guyanese Deon Ferrier and Kellon Carmichael continue to make headlines in Trinidad & Tobago for Aranguez against Defence Force in the national two-day championship league.
Playing over the weekend Defence Force won the toss and batted but were dismissed for 176 with Ferrier, bowling his offspin, taking 3-26 and medium pacer Carmichael bagging 2-40. Ferrier then returned with the bat to pile on 77 while Carmichael scored an unbeaten 55 and Michael Brown chipped in with 30.
Batting a second time, Defence Force were bowled out for 182 with Rakesh Seecharran taking 4-44, Ferrier, 2-39, and Vikash Mohan, 2-50. Needing 90 for victory from 10 overs Anranguez rallied to 80-4 with Carmichael (26) the top scorer.
Aranguez have 17 points to move six points behind league leaders, Bamboo, with three games to go.
