A John Street, Lodge family yesterday counted themselves lucky after their neighbours put out a fire, suspected to electrical in origin, which partially destroyed their two-bedroom apartment.
According to reports, shortly after 4.30 pm yesterday, persons noticed smoke emanating from the apartment of Leesa Taylor and an alarm was immediately raised. A neighbour who works at the power company noted that he was passing the apartment complex when he observed two persons attempting to break the door leading to the small bottom-flat apartment in order to contain the fire.
