Although the Police Ladies team cannot win the Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA)/Brainstreet Under-15 championships, they delivered the soundest warning to the rest of the teams when they whipped Queen’s College at the Muslim Youth Organisation Ground yesterday.
The Ladies, who were included in the competition to test their skills level, defeated the QC Boys by 168 runs after they had scored 248 all out from 46 overs. The medium bowling of Onica Wallerson (3-7) and Akaze Thompson (2-19), along with the spin bowling Haseema Mohammed (2-15), conspired to restrict QC to 82, from 19 overs, chasing 249.
