The trial in the armed robbery which Tyrone Rowe called “Cobra” is accused of committing on Mark Hunt and the matter in which he is accused of breaking a one-way mirror belonging to the Guyana Police Force did not continue on Wednesday as scheduled because of the absence of witnesses.
Magistrate Sueanna Lovell who is presiding over the matters at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court then granted a May 3 adjournment when it is expected that the witnesses will be present for continuation of the trial.
Statements were however filed and were uplifted by the defendant.
The charges state respectively that on May 16, 2010 at Georgetown, being armed with a gun, Rowe robbed Mark Hunte of two gold chains and a gold band valued $160,000. On September 4 at the Brickdam Police Station, he unlawfully and maliciously damaged a one-way mirror valued $1.4 million, being the property of the Guyana Police Force.
