Camptown Football Classic set for Wednesday kick off

The Camptown Football Classic will kick off on Wednesday with the aim of furthering the development of the club’s youth and senior leagues.

According to organiser of the competition, Gordon van Rossum, who played his football with the Campbellville-based club, it is his way of giving back to the club. The overseas-based van Rossum said that apart from proceeds that will help in the development of football of the club, he has brought back gear for the youth players.

Van Rossum, 36, who started at the under-10 level at the Camptown club, said that there will be four teams and patrons will pay $600 for entrance to the Camptown ground, Campbellville. yesteryear in the feature game. The Georgetown team will receive $150,000 as an appearance fee for the one night championships. The former footballer also said that former footballer Steve Bishop will be appearing for the New York All Stars and persons should come out and support the event.
