A 41-year-old labourer was yesterday remanded when he appeared before Magistrate Hazel Octive Hamilton at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court to face a charge of simple larceny.
It is alleged that Rameshwar Tiwari stole $63,000, property of Mathew Anthony Morium.
Police Corporal Venetta Pindar, prosecuting, objected to bail and Tiwari was remanded until June 9 when the matter will be recalled at Court One.
