Police ranks conducted a drug eradication operation yesterday along the Soesdyke/Linden Highway.
A police release said that at Millie’s Hide Out Backdam the team found a two-acre field of marijuana plants which contained about 5,000 plants ranging in height between 2 feet and 4 feet. A nursery with about 3, 000 seedlings and a camp with 5 kilograms of dried marijuana were also found and destroyed.
The police ranks also found a 5-acre field of about 10,000 marijuana plants ranging in height from 2 feet to 8 feet and a nursery with approximately 10,000 seedlings at Moblissa. These were also destroyed.
Two men were arrested and are in police custody.
