Two siblings accused of assaulting each other were on Monday placed on self-bail by acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.
It is alleged that Andrew Meredith and Roxanne Meredith both unlawfully assaulted each other on April 11.
According to reports reaching this newspaper, the two were engaged in an argument concerning another relative’s property, for which both of their names are signed in a will.
Stabroek News understands that the man allegedly threw three buckets of water which contained Jayes fluid on his sister.
The 50-year-old woman was then chased out of the ‘QQ’ 32 Lamaha Park yard, where they both were visiting at the time of the incident.
The two were asked to return to court on Friday for a report and fixtures for trial.
