Scottsburg United Cricket Club of Corriverton and Tucber Park of New Amsterdam will clash in the first ever Inter-club final of the Berbice Cricket Board (BCB)/Ricks & Sari Agro Industries Under-13 Tournament tomorrow at the Albion Community Centre Ground starting at 10:00hrs.
According to a press release, the tournament is sponsored by Carlos Rodrigues of Ricks & Sari Agro Industries and it has been credited with unearthing numerous talented under-13 players in the ancient county.
Tucber Park, who defeated Albion in their semi-final match-up, will start as favourites with Keirre Henry, Joseph Giddings, Enoch Carmichael, Michael Naimatali and Yuvindra Sukhraj leading a powerful batting lineup capable of scoring heavily while pacers Renaldo Adams and Carmichael will share the new ball with support from off spinner Henry and left arm spinner Naimatali and Gavin Moriah Jnr.
The highly talented Deon Esna will spearhead the Scottsburg United effort with both bat and ball while receiving support in the batting department from Mohamed Deochand, Talib Park, Vadanand Sugrim, Chavin Arnachalam and Shamnarine Seenauth.
The bowling attack has proven to be very efficient in the tournament to date with Esna and Deochand bowling well and Tucber Park could find it difficult to score.
Support for the duo will be provided from Aslim Baksh, Kelford Park and Joshua Rawlins.
Meanwhile representative of the BCB and the Ricks & Sari Agro Industries will share out the prizes after the match.
