Two persons, en route to Suriname, were arrested after police discovered 2 kilos cocaine and about 89 grams of hashish in their vehicle.
In a press release issued yesterday police reported that at about 8:50am ranks stopped and search motor vehicle PJJ 9393 which was on its way to Suriname from Moleson Creek, Corentyne. During the search police discovered the two illegal substances.
A man and a woman, police said, were arrested and the vehicle has been impounded. Investigations are continuing.
