An emotional Michael Carrington this midday appealed for all with 4×4 vehicles to assist in search operations at Dora on the Linden/Soesdyke Highway to find his daughter, Marissa Carrington and her friend, LaShawn Ann Mootoo.
He explained that that area is the focal point based on the advice of a local telephone provider. He said that the sandy terrain is making it difficult for rescuers, the majority of whom are using cars.
Bursting into tears, he appealed for both girls to be released.
Joint services ranks, friends and relatives are continuing the search and Carrington said that he would be joining it shortly.
