Leslyn Baptiste, the eight-year-old student of the Agricola Primary School, who was struck down by a speeding car on June 16, was on Friday discharged from the Georgetown Public Hospital.
When Stabroek News visited Baptiste on Thursday last, the child was in high spirits as she was surrounded by relatives and was happily chatting with them. She related that she was feeling much better, while adding that she was not experiencing any pain.
Baptiste, of Lot 12 McDoom, East Bank Demerara, suffered a broken right leg, injuries to her right eye, two missing teeth and also head injuries.
