West Berbice resident Ryan Gajadhar died last night after he was run over by a motor vehicle.
Gajadhar, 21, of No. 9 Village, West Coast Berbice was discovered dead on the Bath Settlement Public Road.
In a press release issued today police said the incident occurred at about 9pm. Initial investigations, according to them, have revealed that Gajadar was lying on the road and was run over the vehicle. The man was pronounced dead on arrival at the Fort Wellington Hospital.
Relatives told Stabroek News that they learnt of the incident shortly after it had occurred last night. Anjo, the sister of the deceased, said she had learnt that Gajadhar left Bush Lot in a minibus to go home. The deceased, according to her, stopped at Bath Settlement where he met his demise.
