It seems the Kingston fire victims are very adamant about their decision to stay on the premises, until they receive word from the Ministry of Housing. As can be seen in these photos, they have now erected wooden homes in which to reside. Most of those offered lodging at the Guyana Relief Council Shelter have now returned to the site, as the time for their stay there has ended. One resident related that they were given materials by persons out of town and were assisted by friends with the construction. They are scheduled to make a court appearance with the owner of the land Maurice Sukhoo on July 18.
