The US Army band State of the State and the Guyana Defence Force Military Band will be holding a public performance tomorrow afternoon, on the northern lawn of the Public Buildings, Brickdam.
According to a press release from the U.S. Embassy, in Georgetown, the performance will include individual and joint numbers. It will begin at 4:00 pm and is expected to last one hour.
The State of the State, which is in Guyana to conduct a subject matter expert exchange with the local military band, will also be performing in Guyana in celebration of the 235th anniversary of the Independence of the United States of America.
The release stated that both bands will spend the week engaged in sessions of theory and practical music. An educational exchange will also be held at Queen’s College as well as a performance for high school students in Linden.
