Defending champion Mike Gayadin is set to defend his title when the Annual Muneshwar Limited Medal play Golf tournament tees off today at the Lusignan Golf Club on the East Coast of Demerara.
Gayadin who is in fine form following his victory in last weekend’s Can Am (Canada/ America) Challenge tournament will be looking to capture back to back victories.
Tournament sponsor Robert Hanoman is also expected to give a good performance against a strong lineup that includes Sookram Deosarran, Mohanlall Dinnanauth William Walker, Brian Hackett, Brian Glasford, Patrick Prashad, Dr. Ram Singh, Carlos Adams, Troy Cadogan, Colin Ming, Kishun Bacchus, Chatterpaul Deo, Christine Sukhram, Joaan Deo, Clifford Reis, Mark Lashley, Maurice Solomon, Ronald Bulkan, Esau Shamshudin, Mike Mangal, Muntaz Haniff and Andre Cummings.
Club Captain Glasford said that all systems are in place for a very exciting day of golf.
Tee off is at 12:30 hours with the usual briefing at 12:15 hours.
Prizes will be awarded to the top three players with the Best Net as well as Nearest to the pin and Best Gross.
Officials of the sponsors were invited to assist in presenting the prizes to the top performers.
