Police say investigations are being conducted into a report of suspected food poisoning involving a brother and five sisters residing at Kumkaow, Essequibo River.
The children whose ages range between 8 years and 15 years were taken to the Bartica Hospital by their mother at about 1200h. yesterday after they were complaining of abdominal pains and vomiting.
One of the sisters, nine-year-old Anna Dial, succumbed while at the Bartica Hospital and the others have been transferred to the GPHC.
