Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) played out to a draw against Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) ‘B-Team’ in the only game that bowled off yesterday in either of the Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA), Brainstreet under-15 or Carib Beer/Friends of Cricket Heroes Cup 1st Division competitions.
This game, which was the one of the two carded Brainstreet Under-15 clashes saw DCC ‘B’ bowled out for 162 in 52 overs, after being put into bat. Kemar Savory and Nomechandrea Persaud were the highest scorers with 38 and 29 each. Daniel Belgrave and Shavelle Pluck led the opposition bowling with 3 for 25 and 2-19 respectively.
GCC in reply having only 42 overs to bat due to time constraints were 114/9 when time ran out/. The sides accepted a drawn result due to unique and unusual circumstances for a limited overs contest.
The games that had no play yesterday were the other Brainstreet under-15 match between Everest and Police-Ladies at GNIC and the 1st Divison match between GNIC and GDF at Camp Ayanganna.
Today the Brainsteet under-15 is scheduled to continue with GCC vs Police-Ladies at Camp Road.
