Word coming out of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) yesterday said that it is looking forward to working with the new Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) that was elected last Sunday.
Corporate Communica-tions Officer of the WICB Imran Khan, responding to Stabroek Sport’s question on whether they have acknowledged the new GCB in light of the controversies surrounding the election, said that WICB President, Dr. Julian Hunte has been informed as to the change in power and he is looking forward to working with the Ramsey Ali-led administration. Hunte in his response stated, “The WICB has been informed by the Guyana Cricket Board that it held its Annual General Meeting and elections on the 10th July 2011 at which officers were elected. The WICB looks forward to working with the new GCB executive for the development and success of West Indies Cricket.”
