Banks DIH Limited has purchased eight new trucks, valued at close to $60 million, which are expected to boost its distribution network.
According to a press release from the company, Executive of Building, Transport and Power Generation Shabir Hussein has said that vehicles are currently being branded and will be in operation within a month.
The release disclosed that the trucks were purchased in Japan through Southern Sales of Trinidad and Tobago, while the bodies were fabricated by SMI Industries of the Twin Island Republic.
According to Hussein, the vehicles will boost the current fleet in a significant way and ties in with the Company’s capital programme for this year.
