Sending a message through dance:Sending a message through dance: The Faith Steppers on Friday night held its annual concert at the Theatre Guild during which the 16 senior members performed a number of dance routines which they had been practicing since December. According to the group choreographer, Melissa Mitchell, three years ago youths from the Methodist community decided to form a dance group. “They wanted to do something different,” she said, adding that they would dance to music that sends a message, but it would not always be gospel music. Mitchell said too that they would sit as a group and discuss the music. Once a song has been decided on, Mitchell said, she would come up with the dance moves.
