Courts Guyana Inc. yesterday donated $300,000 to the Help & Shelter organization to assist in its day-to-day programme. The presentation took place yesterday at 10 a.m. on the Ground Floor of Courts’ Main Street branch.
Speaking at the event was Public Relations Officer at Courts, Zeya Nasir-Ramnauth who said that the Help & Shelter organization provides a place of safety for victims of abuse, their children as well as victims of human trafficking. She stated that the organization then provides counselling and trains them with life skills. Hence, Ramnauth said, Courts was pleased to donate to such a worthy cause and will strive to assist whenever possible.
Director of the Board at Help & Shelter, Pamela Nauth received the cheque on behalf of Help & Shelter. She stated that the donation was very timely and will go to helping with the day-to-day programme as well as the re-furnishing of the Shelter.
