Cabinet has given its no objection to a $138.2M contract for the fabrication and installation of two extra large pontoons for the Demerara Harbour Bridge.
This was among five contracts cleared at its statutory meeting Tuesday, the Government Information Agency (GINA) has said.
At a post-Cabinet media briefing Wednesday, Head of the Presidential Secretariat Dr. Roger Luncheon advised that the other contracts were for the procurement of construction services for the rehabilitation of community roads in the Rosignol Zeelugt Neighbourhood Democratic Council, in Region Five ($130.6M); the construction of the Lethem Magistrates’ Court, in Region Nine ($43.2M); the printing and delivery of Interactive Radio Instruction and books to be distributed at primary schools countrywide ($27.6M); and construction of Kilcoy Multi-Purpose Centre, Corentyne, in Region Six ($24.4M).
