Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton granted $15,000 bail to a woman accused of causing actual bodily harm to another, when she appeared in the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court to answer the charges.
The allegation is that last Thursday, at Georgetown, Amanda Amsterdam unlawfully assaulted Toya Daniels, causing bodily harm to the virtual complainant.
She pleaded not guilty to the charge when it was read to her.
Amsterdam’s attorney told the court that her client has no previous antecedents and asked that she be granted bail in a reasonable sum.
The prosecution did not object to the petition for bail.
The matter was transferred to Court One for September 8.
