Police were up to late last evening investigating a shooting at St Lucia Hill, Tiger Creek, Mahdia, where a Corriverton man was shot in the buttocks.
Police said Colin Broomes, 44, of Corriverton, Berbice, was allegedly shot in the buttocks at around 10am yesterday.
Investigations revealed that Broomes and another man had an argument, during which it is alleged that the man drew a firearm and discharged a round, hitting Colin Broomes to his buttocks.
Broomes was treated at the Mahdia Hospital and sent away. The suspect is not yet arrested, police added.
