Three women, charged with abusive language, were remanded yesterday by Magistrate Hazel Octave-Hamilton at the Georgetown Magistratesโ Court.
Melinda Jones, her daughter Sharmaine Jones and Simone Delph, admitted that on July 13, at Middle Road, La Penitence, Georgetown, they made use of abusive language to each other.
The court was told that the argument erupted after Delph had noticed her name written on a wall and inquired. Though it is unclear as to who started the argument, the women all admitted to have contributed to it.
The three were remanded for seven days and will appear gain on August 2. Although Sharmaine Jones attempted to plead with Magistrate Octave-Hamilton, stating she has a baby to care for, the magistrate was unmoved.
