The Guyana Defence Force (GDF) Inter Unit Championships which was schedule to start today at the Camp Ayanganna ground has been postponed for the second time.
The meet, which is designed to select the best athletes among the different units of the army to participate in the annual Joint Services Championships, was postponed to this Friday due to the condition of the ground.
According to coach of GDF, Robert Chisholm, the ground is not in a favorable condition for the championships.
“Well the ground is not good at the moment so we had to postpone it to Friday,” Chisholm told Stabroek Sport via telephone.
The meet is expected to run off on Friday from 10:00hrs at the same venue.
