The police say they are investigating a fatal accident that occurred at about 1630h today at Ruimzigt, WCD, and which resulted in the death of pedestrian Joshua Daniels, 8 years.
Investigations revealed that the driver of motor car PJJ 1837 was proceeding along the roadway, when it is alleged that he swerved to avoid another vehicle that was in his lane and lost control of the vehicle which then struck down the pedestrian.
Daniels, of Ruimzigt, was taken to the WDRH where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Te driver of the motor car is in police custody assisting with the probe.
