The body of farmer Hemchand Manram, who went missing on Monday when a tour boat capsized in the Mazaruni River, was recovered yesterday morning.
Manram’s body was found at about 11am in the Mazaruni River. Reports are that Manram’s body was found about two miles from the site of Monday’s accident.
Manram, of Canal Number One, West Bank Demerara, was among a group of family members on a jet boat, ‘The Delta’ in the Mazaruni River, when the vessel capsized after it became entangled with some wire ropes from a dredge, throwing the touring party into the roaring rapids.
