GEORGETOWN, Guyana, CMC – International umpire Clyde Duncan, who lost his battle with cancer last Thursday, will be laid to rest on Sunday.
A contingent of West Indian umpires and an International Cricket Council umpires’ representative are expected to attend, along with New West Indies Cricket Umpires Association (WICUA) president Cecil Fletcher and ICC Elite Panel umpire Billy Doctrove.
Senior cricket operations officer, Roland Holder will represent the West Indies Cricket Board.
Prior to the 1:30 pm funeral service, a public viewing of the body will take place between 9-10 am at the former Test venue Bourda, where Duncan stood in his only two Test matches in 1991 and 1994.
Guyanese Duncan also officiated 21 One-Day Internationals and six Twenty20 Internationals. He was 57.
