The police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Brazilian national Jose Virginia Souza, 58 years, which occurred at about 1300hrs on Wednesday at Rockstone, Essequibo River.
According to a police press release, investigations have revealed that Souza, who was a miner, is suspected to have drowned while dredging for minerals under water.
The body is presently at the Lyken’s Funeral Parlour awaiting a Post- Mortem Examination.
