The People’s Progressive Party is alerting the public to the creation of fake sites attempting to attribute themselves to the party and its activities.
“This follows the recent creation of an illegitimate Facebook profile site for the party’s Presidential Candidate Mr. Donald Ramotar. The original Facebook site for Mr. Ramotar could be identified by the correct spelling of his name while the fake site has his name listed as Donald Ramoutar.
“Authorities of the site have already been alerted of this infringement. This latest incident follows the recent hacking of the party’s Facebook site control of which has since been restored”, a PPP release today said.
