Lovers of Hindi music are in for a treat tomorrow evening when singer Payal Seen, famous for her melodious bhajans, and her renowned husband sitarist Pt. Kinnar Kumar Seen take to the stage at the Guyana Hindu Dharmic Sabha.
According to a press release from the Dharmic Sabha, Payal Seen will be singing a diverse range of bhajans, ghazals, film and folk songs while herhusband would be on tabla and sitar.
“They promise to make it an enchanting night of music. Bhojan will be served. Bring out the family and enjoy and unforgettable evening,” the release said.
Meanwhile, the release disclosed that since their arrival in Guyana last Saturday, they have been conducting classes in tabla, sitar and singing at the Kendra and the Oceanview Mandir, West Coast Demerara. The twice-daily classes are open to the public and commence at 9am and 2pm, respectively. After the week of classes, they move to Berbice, where they will continue to teach all those interested in music at the Tain Kendra and Canje. Today they will be conducting a satsang at the Oceanview Mandir.
